Whether you are new to the area, you were born here, or you moved here sometime in between, we are all part of the ever-changing community that is the Mitchell Shire.

The shire spans multiple towns and vast countryside, and that makes it hard sometimes to know what is available in the local area. We knew many years ago that there was a need for a go-to resource to provide an avenue for local businesses to get in front of local customers, and that local customers seek a comprehensive go-to directory of businesses and organisations in the local area.

We were already working on getting the TownGuide Directory up and running when Covid came along and changed things up (just a bit!) for everyone. So we shifted focus slightly at the time to try and pull together a directory of businesses which were still able to operate during Lockdowns by providing online or over the phone orders, or delivery / pick up services. Now we have a fully-operational TownGuide Directory for all local business. 

Whilst we seem to be in and out of lockdowns lately, there is one important thing to remember… Money spent locally supports local business, so let’s try and keep the support up! 

Our aim is for TownGuide to put money back into the hands of the local businesses and keep our community going by providing a platform which gets local businesses online and in front of customers, and provides YOU, the customer, with a handy reference of local businesses. 

We have some plans in the pipeline, and TownGuide will continue to expand, but if there is something in particular that you would like to see, please reach out and let us know!
